Metso CSR Initiative
Metso has conceived a six month residential ‘Skill Development’ programme to train technically qualified unemployed youth for ‘Ore Processing Operators’, under their CSR initiative. Objective of the programme is to provide trained manpower for technical support to Metso customers in aggregate business.
IISD is the training partner of Metso in this initiative, in collaboration with Skill Council for Mining Sector (SCMS). The candidates, who have been selected through a rigorous selection procedure will be given two month’s classroom training followed by four month’s of OJT on site. The assessment and certification will be done by the SSC.
