Projects

Government Projects – to meet the challenge of skilling the youth of India today - to meet the requirement of tomorrow, the government of India and the State Governments launch various projects from time to time. These projects are aimed at providing market relevant training to the unemployed youth, aligned to common standards and framework. India stands at the threshold of a demographic transition and the benefit of this demographic dividend depends on whether the bulge in the working population can be made employable and enough jobs can be created for them. IISD has been an active participant in the delivery of many skilling projects like DDU-GKY, PMKVY, NULM, STAR, Seekho aur Kamao, ELSTP, Nai Manzil etc.
