Courses Offered

  • 1. Sewing Machine Operator,Level-4- NSQF-AMH/Q0301- (Sector - Apparel, Occupational-Stitching)
    Under this course 100 PwD trainees have to be provided training of 270 hours duration.
    So far, 83 PwD trainees have been certified by SCPwD and 61 of these trainees have been placed in different income generating activities including self-employed and wage employment in different firms. This engagement in income generating activities have helped the PwD candidates to raise their family income thus enabling a better standard of living. The placement process is on-going.
  • 2. Automotive Service technician Level-3, NSQF-ASC/Q1401 (Sector - Automotive, Sub Sector - Automotive Vehicle Service, Occupational - Technical Service and Repair)
    Under this course 100 PwD trainees have to be provided training of 610 hours duration; the training hours include theory and practical sessions in which the trainers have adopted innovative methods of training in order to facilitate easy understanding. The practical sessions enhances skill and learning which boosts their self-confidence and helps open the door for job opportunities.
    75 PwD trainees of Automotive Service Technician Course were assessed by the SCPwD assessors upon completion of the training period as per schedule/timeline.
    Of these, 67 PwD trainees have been awarded a certificate by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disability (Divyanjan), Ministry of Social justice and Empowerment, Government of India & SCPwD. And 48 trainees have been placed in relevant jobs. The placement process is on-going.
  • 3. Fitter- Post Spinning,Level-5 NSQF-TSC/Q 0403 (Sector - Textiles, Sub Sector- Spinning, Occupational – Maintenance)
    Under this course 100 PwD trainees have to be provided training of 300 hours duration of theory and practical sessions. In training and practical session the trainers use methods that enable easy understanding amongst the trainees.
    47 PwD trainees of Fitter Post Spinning Course was assessed by the SCPwD assessors upon course completion. The assessment was divided into two parts i.e., theory and practical; the theory session was conducted via an online test having objective type multiple choice questions whereas the practical session was based on one-to-one interaction with the trainees. 45 trainees have been certified and awarded a certificate by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disability (Divyanjan), Ministry of Social justice and Empowerment, Government of India & SCPwD; out of the 45 certified trainees, 32 trainees have already been placed in different income a generating activities that includes wage and self-employment.
